Pumpkin Dog Donuts (Easy Homemade Dog Treat Recipe)

Ingredients
Donuts
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ¼ cup peanut butter xylitol-free
- 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup oat flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Blueberry Drizzle
- Freeze-Dried Version: 1/3 cup freeze-dried blueberries 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 4 teaspoons water, 1 teaspoon peanut butter
- OR
- Fresh/Frozen Version: ¼ cup fresh or frozen blueberries ½ tsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp water, optional ½ tsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a mini donut pan.
- Mix the Donut Batter: In a bowl, combine pumpkin puree, peanut butter, coconut oil, milk, and egg. Stir in cinnamon, oat flour and baking soda.
- Stir until fully combined.
- Fill & Bake: Spoon batter into molds about ¾ full. Bake 11-13 minutes until set and lightly golden. Remove the donuts from the pan and move to a baking rack to cool completely.
- Make the Blueberry Drizzle:
- Freeze-Dried Version: Grind 1/3 cup freeze-dried blueberries in a spice grinder or mini-food processor and mix with 2 tablespoons cornstarch + 4 teaspoons water + 1 teaspoon peanut butter. Using a spoon or butter knife, drizzle over donuts. (detailed instruction in blog post)
