The best part of my day is time spent with my FIVE dogs so needless to say, my house is a very hectic one. These crazy pups are the reason I started making homemade treats for dogs.
Haley aka Haley Bug
Haley is the O.G. of the house and the last surviving member of our original pack of four. She is 15 years old and currently extremely protective of her corner of the couch and while she can’t seem to hear me when I call her name to come inside, she somehow always knows when it’s Friday night and time to order pizza. Hobbies include staring at you like Samuel L. Jackson until you give up your pizza crust, standing on our deck facing my mom’s house and barking until she brings her a treat and sleeping.
Cash aka My Baby Boo
Cash is my Sunshine and my goodest boy. He is an American Bulldog / Pitbull mix and the sweetest dog on the planet. He let’s ‘his girls’ jump all over him, roll him in the dirt, lay on top of him and he loves every minute of it. We rescued Cash from a local shelter and he was our first step in healing our broken heart from losing our ‘first born’ dog, Nova, to a brain tumor. Cash brings nothing but love and sunshine into our hearts every day. Hobbies include stealing 3/4 of the bed, running away from frogs because they are scary and reminding everyone he is the FAVORITE.
Bailey aka Lava Monster
Bailey came to us after a really rough life. She was mistreated and eventually abandoned by her owner by being left chained to a fence in the backyard when he moved away. Needless to say, bringing her into our pack was ‘a process’ but one that we have no regrets doing. She is a love, a crazy snuggle bug and the first one to talk trash our our front window to our neighbors.. minding their own business.. on the other side of the street.. (sorry!!) Hobbies include being Daddy’s Girl, snuggling into you as close as she can get with a resting temperature of 19058 degrees and then refusing to move and the only dog we have ever had that LOVES to swim.
Lola Mae aka Littles
My Lola! She is a mishmosh of breeds and goofiest little dog I’ve ever had. She has an alter-ego we’ve named Lilith for when she ‘stands up for herself’, she still can’t figure out how to ‘shake’ and refuses to come inside when she is called. She drops and rolls on her back with her feet in the air like a fainting goat and won’t move out of that position.. then I get to pick her 40lb self up and carry her inside. Hobbies include chasing her ‘ball-ball’ outside everyday when we play, carrying my work shoe around the house like a security blanket, crawling over my head in the morning to cuddle in ‘her’ spot on the left side of me and running laps in the yard with Jessie.
Jessie aka Mommy’s Lil Monster
Jessies is our newest baby and my little monster. She is a 2 year old boxer and the sweetest baby … when she’s not destroying everything in our house 🙂 She is inquisitive and curious and ready to run and play 24/7. She loves to snuggle under the blanket and watch TV, she has to sleep next to me at night or she won’t sleep at all and when she’s not trying to drive you crazy with her squeaky ball (…15,000 squeaks non-stop…) she is the sweetest, goofiest dorkfish dog ever. Hobbies include whining non-stop until she realizes she’s not getting her way, running laps with Lola out back, ANYTHING involving a ball-ball and driving her mom crazy.
